Approximately 90% occurs in men than the ratio of women. Besides, The inguinal canal in men contains the spermatic cord and blood vessels. And In women, it includes ligaments and lymphatic vessels. This disease is caused due to congenital or non-congenital defects. A Congenital disorder caused at birth and non-congenital is caused due to the heavy pressure in the abdomen. Similarly, It also can vary from person to person.
A Femoral Hernia:
It is common in females, especially those females who are pregnant or obese. This occurred just below the inguinal ligament when abdominal content passed out of the abdomen through the femoral canal. Forming a bulge that’s size is same as of grape size.
A hernia occurs in both men and women. It also occurs in the children who have the disorder of connective tissues or the increased pressure in the abdomen due to obesity.
An epigastric Hernia:
Fatty tissue protrudes through the abdominal area between the navel or belly button and lower part of the sternum (chest bone). And its size like a golf ball usually.
An umbilical Hernia:
It is usually common in infants, characterized by bulging around the belly button or abdominal wall behind the navel is damaged. It is ordinarily painless in infants, but in adults it causes discomfort. The bulge usually can press back through the hole in the abdominal wall or may pop out because of coughing pressure.
An incisional Hernia:
An incomplete-healed surgical wound causes it, or it can occur after the patient had abdominal surgery. And some may be caused by other trauma or a congenital problem.

Symptoms of Hernia Repair Surgery:
In the abdomen or groin, there would be noticeable lump or bulge which becomes painful, red and swell. Which can disappear when push it back or lying down.

- In addition, The surgeon will perform the procedure by using tiny surgical instruments. Inserted through the other openings while viewing it on a monitor screen.
- After that, he will fasten in place with sutures or staples.
- Once the surgery of a hernia is completed, then the surgeon will put the organs back to its place. And stitch your abdominal surface or the outermost layer of the operating surface.
- After some time you would be able to return home.
Complications of Hernia Repair Surgery:
The complication may arise after the operation in which the rejection of mesh that is used to repair a hernia. In addition, it occurs then mesh should be removed by that area. It can be detected by swelling, and protrusion becomes red and pain around the meshed area.
Inflammatory medications are used to reduce the side effects. It can also be reduced by applying ice at that area for 10 minutes after every one hour.

Heavy activities should not be undertaken until two months of recovery after the surgery. After the discharge, the surgeon will explain the activities to carry on or what should be avoided.
